Jean-Baptiste Mondino

Jean-Baptiste Mondino (né en 1949) est un réalisateur de clips et un photographe français. Il a dès 1974 renoué avec un principe de mise en images utilisé par le chanteur Antoine dans son clip Les élucubrations d’Antoine : ne plus faire de la simple chanson filmée, mais enchaïner des plans inattendus dans un mini-film dont la chanson ne constitue plus qu’une bande-son. Ce clip se nommait La danse des mots. Il est connu pour ses fréquentes collaborations avec Madonna et ses réalisations et photos pour Les Rita Mitsouko, Prince, Alain Bashung, Etienne Daho, Vanessa Paradis, Björk, et bien d’autres.

Jean-Baptiste Mondino, born in Aubervilliers, France, in 1949, started his career as a disc jockey and composer. Today he is one of the most influential advertising photographers and video artists of our time.
